If you attended the Rock That Moustache event on Tuesday Movember 30th at Rouge, you may remember seeing a girl with a camera taking photos left right AND center.

            As of December 2, 2010 at 10:35am Canada is first in the world for money raised during Movember with $19,669,390.  We at Team Five One Four would like to thank you, on behalf of our prostates and prostates everywhere for your participation in this glorious fundraising month.   The amount of support that we received (in so many ways) was completely overwhelming, from friends, family and loved ones. 

As a first time participator in Movember I was and remain blown away by the commeraderie that a moustache carries with it.  Everywhere I turned people were commenting about my ‘stache and coming to talk to me about it.  As a wise man once told me ‘Movember is not just some word that doesn’t make any real sense; no, Movember is a Moment, a Momentous Movement. It’s a Monumental Month in which gentlemen (and ladies) from across the galaxy join forces by growing and grooming (or drawing) a moustache to raise awareness, and when possible, money, for prostate cancer. '

Our event, ‘Rock That Moustache’ was a complete success, we did everything that we set out to do, bring people together to have a fun time all while partying for a great cause. Thank you infinitely to our great sponsors: I.M. FLY, C12, D-TOX, Al. Fresco, NEW REGIME, UNIVERSAL RECORDS, CSU, IBZA SPA, TXT & ORISUE, without you this would not have been possible! Thank you also to all those generous individuals who booked tables: Globe, Buona Notte, Honey Martin, Angelina Raimondo, B&M, Eric Sani, Fab Boss, Nanor Tabakian, Resto Douro, Upstairs & B-Side.    Be sure to look out for Rock That Moustache 2.0 coming to a club near you in Movember 2011.  As a team, with your generous donations, we have managed to raise over $10,000 and are still receiving money from ticket sales and bar sales from ‘Rock That Moustache’.   Please stay tuned for more updates, we will do our best to publish the final number (moneys raised) and photos from 'Rock That Moustache' by Team Five One Four in the next few days.

175 Year Anniversary of the birth of Mark Twain!!

On Nov. 30, 1835,  the small town of Florida, Mo. witnessed the birth of its most famous son. Samuel Langhorne Clemens was welcomed into the world as the sixth child of John Marshall and Jane Lampton Clemens. Little did John and Jane know, their son Samuel would one day be known as Mark Twain - America's most famous literary icon.

As The Date Draws Closer...

As the date draws closer we are seeing more and more enthusiasm, which is absolutely amazing guys.

Congratulate yourselves on being part of something good.  For  being part of a movement that will hopefully change the lives of many people.  And most of all for being good people !
